Jing is a simple-to-use screencast recording application for Mac or PC. Intuitive and easy to use, but rather falls down as you have to switch to a separate application to polish the screencast.

A web-based applet that works for Mac or Windows. Very simple to use and no software install required. Nice, easy intuitive, but no way to edit. Designed to interface with Twitter.

Highly rated by others, but still need to test drive. Appears to be capture only, but seems to offer ability to step through capture.
